Spring is the perfect time to tackle the cleanouts you’ve been putting off all winter. Northeast Ohio winters are long — and by March, most homeowners are ready to open the windows, clear the clutter, and start fresh. Here’s how to plan and execute a successful spring cleanout.
Start with a Room-by-Room Audit
Walk through each room with a notepad and identify items you no longer use, need, or want. Be honest — if you haven’t used something in two years, you probably don’t need it. Create three piles: keep, donate, and haul away.
Prioritize High-Impact Areas
Garages, basements, and attics tend to accumulate the most clutter. Tackling these first gives you the biggest visual and functional impact. Clear these spaces before moving to individual rooms.
Don’t Forget Outdoor Areas
Spring is the time to clear out old patio furniture, broken yard equipment, leftover construction materials, and winter debris. A clean yard sets the tone for the entire property.
Schedule Junk Removal Early
Spring is our busiest season. Book your junk removal appointment in March or early April to get your preferred date. We offer same-day and next-day service based on availability.
Donate Before You Haul
Many items that seem like junk are still usable. Furniture, clothing, appliances, and household goods can be donated to local organizations. We sort for donation as part of our service — items in good condition go to local charities rather than the landfill.
What We Take
Furniture, appliances, electronics, yard waste, construction debris, boxes of miscellaneous items, and more. If it fits in our truck, we take it. Call (216) 471-0116 for a free estimate.
